I basically forgot all the concepts from geometry & some algebra and I have no idea how to solve any problems, so i think a tutor is good. But,i dont know, maybe a class ( which is much cheaper) is good enough.

I thought about KAPLAN, but they charge around 4,000 for tutoring. Im thinking about crowntutoring but dont know if they are good at all Or i just might sign up for an SAT Math Prep class at my local high school ( the teacher of the SAT prep is my real teacher for the school year!) So I dont know what to do. Im really weak in math, like seriously weak. I forgot most of the concepts from geometry and Im struggling which service to buy, the local sat prep at my high school or a tutor.

Help? I havent done the SAT yet, and im planning to do the SAT for May and June.

I would ask around at your school for the people who are a year or so older than you and see what people recommend in your local area. For my sons we ended up deciding that small group tutoring was a better deal in the long run than any of the classes – so long as you have the dedication to take the practice tests on schedule and make time for it. The classes seem very time-consuming and inflexible and not much of a cost saving.

We were lucky enough to find a group of four students all of whom had similar PSAT scores and we just hired a tutor for something like 15 hours and split the cost. The tutor came to the house and the sessions were usually scheduled over dinner hour so it didn’t interfere with anyone’s practices, etc. We used Princeton Review. I think the key is to try to find a tutor/teacher who has a good reputation and is a good fit for what you will need work on.

Geometry and algebra are not concepts in which you would need to make a hard decision for picking a tutor. If, for example, you needed a CR tutor, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t prefer your sister to the AP English teacher at your school. I would go with the school SAT Math class since you won’t have to pay $4000. Or you can go to a friend for help also.

I got 2 teachers from my school to come to my home…
One for English and one for math.
One on One is the way to go.
It also did cost me alot less money…

These institutions are not the way to go. A private tutor is best if you want the highest score possible. These classes are geared towards people aiming for 1800.

you could try Elite. think their website is like elit**********
it’s probably one of the most legit courses out there. they break it down into classes by psat scores, so a person who got say a 210 on the psat wouldn’t be in the same class as someone who got a 180.

pretty good record of improvement and perfect scores. it might just be based in california though, idk
