Many of us are going to be moving away from home the first time or leaving one school for another. What are some of the things that you will miss the most?

Today I was driving to work and I was thinking "Gosh I'm going to miss driving down this beautiful road and being able to go to my friend's houses in very little time". I think I will miss my queen size bed, having my own room and bathroom, my family (I live and work with them now), my sweet little dog, my wonderful neighbors, and familiarity. Oh and Taco Bueno.

Moving away from home for the first time in 3 weeks.. won't miss a damn thing besides having dinner made for me every night and, yes, my mother. But I won't be going far anyway, only like a 5-10 minute drive lol. Other than that, nothing I can think of.

It'll be the happiest freaking day in my life when I move out, so I won't miss much. My cats and dog mostly, and some friends that I won't be seeing often. I guess driving too, because sometimes it's fun to just drive around and think. And as much as I hate it sometimes, I'm going to miss my job. :( Excellent pay, mostly good hours, some nice people...

I might miss some of my family, depending on how we are that day. Maybe.

i think im gonna miss the food because there arent any filipino stores around here that i know of. other than that, nothing really because i love being away from home from my parents and i love the freedom and calm nature of college.

Like Pathetique I will miss having a car. (I don't know what I'm gonna do w/o being able to belt out my fav. tunes in my car. seriously) Um, I'll miss having my own room and bathroom. Basically I'll just miss the privacy of having my own space. And I'll miss my fam. but because I know that they'll always be in my life (corny, I know) I don't think I'll miss them that much. What else?...........................wow I think that's about it. Moving out is seriously going to be that happiest day of my life to date! I can't wait!!!

okgirl, your friends in college will be physically closer to you than your friends in high school. no doubt about it.
Most of my friends from HS have already moved away. It's just sad because I'm going to almost the complete opposite part of the state from everyone but a select few people from HS and college.

Ohh I'll also miss my other closets (I'm trying to knock 3 closets into 1 right now) and the close proximity to the mall. I'll also miss going to our lake house because now it will be about a 5 hour drive instead of almost 3 hours.

The past two semesters I went to college in New York City. Now I'm transferring, and I'm already thinking of ways to come back. There is nothing like the city.

As an upcoming senior in college, I really haven't missed anything much. Right now (the month of June and the first half of August) is the most extended time I've spent at home since summer after freshman year. My mom does treat me like more of an adult now, fortunately, but I don't miss not having the freedom AND the ability (we live in quite literally the middle of nowhere) to just go somewhere and not having to let anyone know, not having cell phone service, the slow freaking internet one has to get when one lives in the middle of nowhere, and having my mom whine about my room being messy.

What I do miss about home is never having to cook, having a big room with a big closet, and satellite tv with some channels I like but can't afford myself (BBC America, HBO, etc).
