What would be some good safety schools?

I'm going to be applying for college next fall and I'll be majoring in Finance.

Based on my 32 ACT, rigorous coursework, and overall, solid profile, I'll be applying to:

UIUC - match
Michigan - high match
NYU - slight reach
UPenn - huge reach LOL

I like big schools, but I would not mind going to a small school in a big city.

Replies would be appreciated!

I’m interested in this info too!

Yes, although I prefer something east coast/south. Honestly, I’m not familiar with the networking opportunities out west so I’m not sure. If anyone is confident in a West Coast school in that area then by all means, I will take a serious look at it.

USC is a good one on the west coast. I live like 20 minutes away and they have a nice campus. I wouldn’t exactly call it a safety school, but a lot of people from my school get in.

CUNY Hunter + Baruch.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve actually looked at USC since I want to go to a big school anyway but I’ve always seen them as a reach. Any other colleges though?

UC Berkeley has a good rep for business, too! I think you have a really good shot of getting in by the looks of the other schools you are applying to. I’m not really sure of any shoe-in schools though, sorry!

I’ll look into those two CUNY schools, thanks mc. Ego, I’ll take a look at UC Berk.

But yeah, I want to know shoe in schools, or good matches.

What state are you in? If you’re in NC, I would say maybe UNC-Chapel Hill or Elon. There’s also Purdue Univ. in Indiana and George Washington Univ. in DC

Indiana University–Bloomington, University of Maryland–College Park, and Penn State are safeties that have good business programs. Also, the state school of the state you live in can be a safety. For example, I am from New Jersey, so Rutgers would be a safety for me.

I would definetely reccomend U Maryland College Park; thats where I am and I like the business program.
