What would be the best minor to supplement an Econ major?

I’m going to major in Economics. The school I’m going to attend offers a BA and BS. I’m going to do the BA, so I’m going to miss out on some business classes like accounting. I might minor in something to make up for that, but I don’t know yet. I’m leaning towards a minor in math so I can make the BA more practical. But if I minor in Business Administration, I would be taking accounting and marketing classes. Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on what you want to do. If you want to do quantitative financial analysis, a math or statistics minor could be great. If you want to go into marketing and advertising, or accounting, or management, then maybe the minor in business administration. If you wanted to do research on political economy or work for a think tank, political science. If you wanted to do development economics, a sociology minor or a minor in a developing nation’s language (like Spanish) could work…basically, you could do any minor; what would be best really depends on your career goals.
