I've been working on a project to make a free ACT test prep tool and I'd like to know how to make it as good as possible. For those of you that are working on the ACT or have students or children that are, what could make the process better and easier for you?

What do you think?

My Ideas

Free
- This is a must. I want this tool to be available to everyone.

Online
- This way anyone with the internet can access the material at any time. That way learners don't have to work around the schedule of a tutor or wait for a book to arrive in the mail.

Video explanations
- I love learning from video. Khan Academy, Udacity, etc. So I wanted to explain how to answer practice questions with videos instead of text. I've actually already recorded ~80 videos 1. I'd love some feedback on them.

Goal setting & progress monitoring
- I've heard students in the forums here complain that motivation is a big issue. I've worked with a couple of students 1:1 and its the same issue. Some people like a tutor, specifically because it helps them stay motivated. So I think the website should help you to set a study goal and then let you, your parents, and your teachers monitor your progress on the goal you set. That will help people to stay motivated.

Communal
- College confidential is such a cool community of learners. I imagine that its really helpful to talk to other students while studying on your own exam. I'd actually probably just link directly here and encourage anyone using my tools to talk about it on the great community that you all have already created.
