You tell me .

Situation:

among the colleges i've been accepted including, i'm debating between Boston U School of Management and CUNY Baruch. i'm planning to major in finance.

my parents dont make a lot of money... so taking money into consideration, BU cost will be around 20k and that's only tuition and room and board (i got around 31k in loans and grants). so including personal use, my estimate is that i'll spend around 25,000 per year.

for CUNY Baruch, i pretty much have a free ride...

Is it really important which college I decide to attend? or should i save that money for grad school instead?

if you were I, which would you choose? and why? please tell me.

I would stay in-state...25'000 per year and not even including alll the loans? MAke it easier for you and your parents by staying in-state. What about fit? Have you visited? What do you want to do with your degree?

The CUNY schools are great and vastly underrated IMO. I do not think BU is worth 100K more. If you do well at CUNY you can get into a quality MBA program or borrow that kind of money to get your MBA.

Are you going to have to borrow the $100,000 for BU? Or even half of it? If so, go to CUNY.

CUNY Baruch, hands down. Save the money for grad school.

Boston University's business school has heavy grade deflation

It will be hard for you to get A's if you go there

unless you absolutely hate CUNY Baruch, go there. you'll probably be really happy you did. i know people that went to schools people had never heard of and went to harvard for grad school. especially if you're choosing to go to grad school, that minimizes the importance of where you went to undergrad.

thanks , if i go to BU i wont have any internships but if I go to Baruch, i'll most likely have a job and an internship..

the only thing holding me back is that I might miss out on the dorm life...
