And my Freshman year sucks too. However, do Colleges and UCs look at my overall GPA? It’s pretty painful to look at, at 3.14, non-weighted. I heard they don’t look at Freshman year grades too, is that true? So the requirements some UCs have, such as a minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher, they’ll take the GPA of my 10th and 11th grade years only? Or is it that they take my overall GPA first, and if you meet the requirements, then they look at your 10th and 11th grade year?
colleges will look at your high school overall GPA, middle school means nothing
and if colleges see your grades rise over time (sucking–>awesome) they will be impressed and it could turn out to be a positive thing. Just buckle down now and work hard!
Spend your time worrying why you got an F in a class. Are you in the wrong level? Do you have a learning disability? DO you not care? If you are interested in college, you have to care.
They look at high school. So 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th. I don’t feel like doing the math; what’s your non weighted GPA? That’s the GPA they look at. Also, the other posters have solid points. Why did you get the F in the first place? What subjects were they in? Are you naturally bad at the subject or are you just slacking?
