What's a boarding school like? :)

Hey guys :) this is Hannah!
I'll just start with a quick intro. I'm almost 14 and in the 8th grade. I'm Korean but I've lived in six different countries so far (I'm fluent in Korean and English of course, and Spanish!). I have quite a difficult choice to make. In two years, after I finish 10th grade, I have to choose whether or not to stay with my parents until I graduate or go to a boarding school.

By then, my brother would have already graduated so it's either I go back to Korea (in 2012), go to an international school (that I've been in before!), whilst living with my parents for two more years. OR... Right after my brother graduates I go with him to a boarding school (probably in the U.S.... or in the UK).

There's pros and cons to each side of course. Going back to Korea means I get to live my last two years with my parents, see my old friends and family again... etc. But then I feel like I'll "miss out" on the boarding school experience, which I've really wanted for more than a year now.

Although I really do want to go to boarding school, there's the issue of the fact that I don't know if I'll be "independent enough", being able to live and study by myself without my parents' guidance... :(

So, I just wanted to know, any people who have had experience in boarding school (it doesn't matter either way really ^^), please tell me what it's like, and what you recommend me to do.. :) thanks guys!

You still have like 2 more years to become “independent enough”.
