What's a good SSAT score?

I am currently applying to Pennington and Hun and I’m taking the SSAT on Jan 8th. I was wondering what was a good score for me to aim for? I think I’ll do fairly well on the test and when I looked up averages for the schools, it said to aim between the 67th-99th percentile. I was wondering how true that actually is? If anyone knows could you let me know?

Tbh SSAT doesn’t matter now as much as it did in years past. Just aim for the best score possible and know that you did your best then you should be fine. There isn’t a magic number that you should get, but if they said to aim between 67th and 99th, then 75+ will be fine and that should be a doable score.

Have you talked to the soccer coaches at these schools?

Neither is super selective, so I wouldn’t get too stressed.

Yes, I’ve been in contact and met both!!

I just got my scores. Are these good enough to send in?

Verbal: 689/63rd Percentile (Didn’t expect to do well on this anyway)

Quantitative: 746/82nd Percentile

Reading: 746/94th Percentile

83rd Percentile in total with 2166.

83rd Percentile is fine for Pennington and Hun. No need to retake. Good job.
