What's a "good" weighted GPA?

<p>After this year my GPA should be a 4.05/5 - weighted on a scale where honors are .5 extra and AP are 1 extra...is this good for top 20 schools? Thanks</p>

<p>My first inclination is to say “not really”–at my school (which uses a weighting system similar to yours) that GPA would not even put you in the top 10%. Maybe not even in the top 20%. But at your school the standards may be different.</p>

<p>The real question is this:

  1. Have you gotten mostly A’s?
  2. Have you taken a “most rigorous” curriculum?</p>
