So I was looking at the Princeton supplement to the common app just to get an idea of what I'm going to be in for and I saw that there was a space for a favorite movie quote. Is it acceptable for me to use a quote from a movie like Superbad or Knocked Up or will the admissions readers take that as a sign that I'm not taking the application seriously? My favorite quotes are honestly from those two movies but I don't want them to get the wrong impression about me because I quoted an explicit comedy movie.

If you’re unsure, it’s probably a sign that you shouldn’t do it. I’m sure they wouldn’t reject you based on your favorite movie quote, but if you have to question it, maybe it’s best not to…

I think you’re over thinking it. Unless the quote itself is over the top vulgar, you’ll be fine.

Hahahaha, I don’t think that it’ll be a problem. The whole point of the “favorites” section is designed to just get a better idea of who you are. I also freaked out about the stuff I put down, but the best bet is just to be honest and yourself.
