Morning all. So, one month ago, I was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. Unfortunatly, I missed the Fall Quarter of the community college I will be attending. I will be starting in the Winter Quarter.

Anyways, I met with a counselor to plan out my next two years to transfer to UC Berkeley. I've been looking into majoring in Engineering for a while. While looking through Engineering majors with the counselor, I saw BioEngineering/Material Engineering and Science double major (for me, a double major is must, dont ask why, I just want it). Not to mention I will be going to grad school, probably at UC Berkeley.

My eyes went wide

I have my two year planned, planned out. Im super stoaked! Literally nothing but English, Math and Sciences. No useless humanities stuff, at least not until UC Berkeley. And no foreign language bs needed. But I couldnt find a lot of solid info about what BioEngineering is all about. I read some thread on here (old post) saying its a relatively new field, and the job market is somewhat weak for BioEngineers.

Any BioEngineers in here that want to lay down some knowledge?
