Title self explanatory ...

ED2 is simply a second round of ED. For example, you apply ED to College A. College A defers or rejects you. You may then apply to College B for ED2. If you are then either deferred or rejected, you may apply to other colleges..

Thanks mate :).

ED2's quite a good option ... is there a list of schools offering ED2 on CC or any other website ?

I'm not aware of an ED II list, but many LACs offer it.

It's best to choose a list of schools you like and THEN see if they have ED...not the other way around.

Are you sure? The deadlines for ED2 are usually around Jan 1. By the time you hear the result of your ED2, you are already too late to apply to most schools.

Can't you send in your regular applications AND send in your ED2 application around the same time ? :S

Yes, you can send in your RD applications at any time (including before ED I), and definitely at or before you send in your ED II. The only caveat is that if you get into your ED school, you have to withdraw your other applications.

That's right. ED2 works just like ED1. You may apply to as many schools as you wish at the same time, but only one for ED. You are committed to go to your ED school if admitted and must withdraw from all others.

A lot of the southern universities have ED II: Vandy and Emory. I think Tufts, CMU, and a lot of the LACs do too.

yep, ed2 is just like ed1 except the date is like jan instead of nov

hmm then what are some advantages of ED2?
do u get ur acceptance letter sooner? if so, when?

February ...
