I'm wondering if I have a chance to get in. I am planning on going into the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science.

does anyone know?

Hi...DD accepted to NU and is attending. She has a different major, but is living in a womens residential college. I met many of them when moving her into the dorm. They appeared BRIGHT, some shy-some outgoing. Several international students. There was every major it seemed-engineering, communications, pre-med/HPME, social science. I understand the the avg SAT of incoming students for class of 2011 was 1423. Hers was higher. She feels NU was a good match for her academically. Loves the speakers program-attended a seminar on US/Pakistan relations, Arriana Huffington was coming.Never liked football before-now loves it. She feels NU offers her a balanced college experience. I hope this helps in determining if NU is a match for you. G'Luck!

My son is a freshman at NU McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science. We lived in San Diego his freshman year and moved overseas on a job transfer for the last three years of his high school. His SAT's were in the higher range. He is currently pursuing HPEL honors program in engineering and law. He is in his first year mechanical engineering but is assured of a place in NU's law school. That is if he wants to do law in the future. He is currently in a residence college and loves the NU experience. He has made some wonderful friends and is very happy. He chose to go to NU over other school because he thought it was a good fit for him and he felt at home when we visited the campus. There are a few students from California in his freshman class. So why not apply and find out?
