As far as the best community college… I don’t think there’s a good comparison of them; they are regional schools attended by local students. Community colleges usually have clearly articulated transfer plans with their state’s 4-year colleges. So try to find 4-year colleges with journalism programs in states with reasonable places to live and look for community colleges there. Also, see what it takes to be instate for the community college.

There are a couple community colleges that specialize in serving large numbers of international students. I believe the system in Houston does, for instance.

thnx 2collegewego, and charlieschm… actually, when i study, (if possible) I want to study at university, and yet also working part-time, so that I could be more independent, would be better if it could work with something related to my chosen majors … what do u guys think ? i would like to be someone who can interview a big stars at hollywood! =D

Berea College in Kentucky

thnx… scmember… another suggestion ?? ^^ what about the college at florida ?

maybe Flagler college in Florida. It gives financial aid to internationals and is a fairly inexpensive private college with a beautiful campus.

Bingo!!!..

Look at Momfromtexas’s thread. There are colleges that offer merit awards that can be up to a full ride for student that they want. Many of these awards do not exclude international students. Basically, they want the test scores and highly motivated students and are willing to pay for them You have to look for schools that have these awards, are seeking such students and where you meet the standards for a decent shot at such money. We are talking about schools like South Western XZy Institute of Technology or ABC State College.

Going to a community college is not a cheap solution unless you have someone who will help you with room, board, transportation and other such expenses. Here in NY, those numbers can get very high. I happen to think that the CUNYs are great schools, but finding a place to live where you can commute to them is a bear and is not going to be cheap. The limited housing they offer is expensive. So unless you have an aunt or cousin or someone who will let you live there, and you can commute to the school cheaply and they feed you as well, you have to come up with money for that. Also you do have to pay OOS rates.

My son took two courses last term at our local state U and he was hard put to pay for them. Even though NY state tuition is reasonably low compared to many states, it’s still a big amount to have to get together. And he got state rates.

I have been looking for good community colleges too and I have applied to the CUNY schools so now I am waiting and waiting for them to let me know if I got accepted or not. I am currently an Au Pair from Germany and I have to go back next month. Right now I am trying to find families who can sponsor me…I was thinking about moving to Florida when I come back to the US but I have no clue whatsoever if the colleges there are good or not. You guys helped me alot though, if you have any advice, I’d be more than happy to talk to you!

I am looking for the cheapest universities in America an suggestions?

That will be cheapest graduate university for international students, one that offer financial aid as well.

any tuition free college for international student

any tuition free college for international student in usa or canada

College of the Ozarks, Berea College, Cooper Union

Going to the US to attend a community college is NOT worth it.
I suggest big state universities like UMich, Penn State, etc…
Why settle for anything less?

^^^

Very expensive and little/no aid for int’l students.

Globalquest…if there were such schools, they would be hard to get in because all int’ls would apply to them.

What is your budget?

Thanks for your reply mom2collegekids. My budget is US$ 8,000 - 10,000 for an MBA. It is possible? Am not sure how long an MBA takes but i am hoping against hope to work my way out of this one once i get a reasonable college. Please advise.

^^You should try LDS Business School at Brigham Young University.

Thanks confidential2015, tried it but its above my budget considering i am an international student. Any more suggestions?

I could be wrong, but I think most MBA students have to pay for their educations themselves (or have their employers pay for it).

I just don’t think there is any FA or scholarships for int’ls for MBAs.

Either way…$8-10k is not enough to get a visa to come here for an education. To get an education visa, you have to show that you have enough money to pay for tuition, room, board, books and personal expenses. No where in the US can you do that for that little of money.

Those who are here on Education visas are strictly limited as to what work they can do and how much they can earn. Int’ls aren’t allowed to work their way thru college on an education visa.
