What's the difficulty of getting into the public health programs in Junior year?

Hi everyone.

I'm so excited to be admitted by UNC-CH as a international student, and it's on my final list considering to enroll.

I'm planning to get a bachelor degree in the public health field(maybe either health policy or biostatistic), but the public health school requires a additional application at,I guess, the end of sophomore year ?(cannot remember it quite clearly). So what's the difficulty of getting into the public health school of UNC-CH for a Bachelor degree in the Junior year? Are there many students competing for these seats and what's the general class size&accept rate?

Thank you!

Biostat is very difficult because of the math prerequisites, but if you’re a quantitative thinker, it might be for you.

I can’t comment on specifics…I’ve heard that it’s a little difficult but not like the b school which accepts about 50% of applicants.

anyone who got some specific cases or statistics?

I think you need around a 3.5 GPA in Carolina coursework.
