I am thinking the last act test didn't go as well as I had hoped. I am just starting out and have many more times to take it. I'm trying to prepare myself that I can eventually bring my score up. I'm thinking I could get 22 this time and would like to get 29. Do you think that's possible after another year of taking it?

5 points :)

Before I ever studied I scored 28s on practice tests

Studied for a few months and now i get 34’s :D

I went from a 29 to a 35 in 4 months. It’s very possible to improve over a short period of time, but you’ll need to remain dedicated to studying (either through schoolwork or direct preparation). Get a few practice books or even a tutor and go from there; if you don’t substantially improve, try a few different techniques (i.e., skimming reading or science rather than going for a direct approach, etc.). Just do your best and don’t get discouraged; it may be hard to progress initially or independently, but time is on your side.

27 to a 29.

23 to a 31.
My math went up six points. (19-25. math is not my forte)
My science went up eight.(21-29)
My English went up nine.(25-34)
My reading went up nine. (27-36)

1 :P

33 (June 2011) —> 34 (April 2012)
English: 33 to 34
Math: 34 to 34
Reading: 29 to 33
Science: 35 to 36

Essay: 10 to 11
Combined E/W: 32 to 34

Mine went from a 30 -> 34. This was possible with only around 1~1.5 months of studying. You can do it. : )

@afdamron, You are an inspiration…

Alfdamron did u get a letter from ACT accusing u if cheating. My score went up 6 point from 26-32 and my friends say I might be accused bc of huge increase. My scores were 27,26,32 and I used act brainiacs and red book for prep
