I was looking thru some archives of the past year and couldn't find a concensus

"300 essential words" seems like the new craze around here. However, its only an ebook! So I can't order it as a book to use this summer while I have no computer access!

Direct Hits is generally very popular. But I was reading some posts about "which vocab books preformed best" on recent SATs (like in 2011), and DirectHits was very average for US SATs.

I'm wondering if I should srsly buy Direct Hits?

300 essential words can be used on any kindle

meaning you can download kindle for ipod, for your phone, for iPad, etc.

I definitely recommend DH since it worked so well for me. -0 on sentence completions on my PSAT (236) and SAT (2400, first time).

DH also revises its books’ contents (I think they’re on the 4th edition now) based on new words that get added into the SAT “word bank” of sorts. There will be tests on which DH doesn’t do so well, but the author/editor/publisher make sure they fix the problem.
