You will get an email with a different link and a PIN to use. You need to receive the new email before you can check admissions decision. The other site is just application status.

This sucks! When did you guys receive the pin number? I have been checking the wrong site this whole time!haha

It comes in an email that they send you.
Everyone that hasn’t gotten the decision is waiting on the email!
I’m so anxious now >.<
Still no email T_T

So they send you a notice that the applications are posted but don’t send a pin? That seems cruel. Here is all his letter said:

Dear XXXX,

before April 30th. After April 30th the decision will be removed.

That’s the whole thing - weird - a fragmented sentence and then a date…Did others get more information on their emails than that?

I got in…31 ACT like a 3.8GPA very good EC and Instate

But JMU was kind of a saftey for me

It’s 9 PM at JMU. I’m not expecting anything else to be sent tonight.

Now, I’ll check every 5 minutes instead of every 2 minutes.

I just went through every email JMU has ever sent me and they never sent me a pin #.Maybe because I had my application extended? I wish I could check my status!

Hmmm, do you have images enabled in your email?
Perhaps having them disabled had an effect on what part of the message you saw?
I think others got more information. They send you an email with the pin and the website.
You might have to call the school tomorrow since you got a fragmented message. >.<

Haha, Cody I’m pretty sure the email thing is automated.
So no one is physically sending the emails.
But bbianchetti, you’ll get an email SOON that will have your pin in it, it wouldn’t have already been sent.

Ive had many communication issues with JMU already. When I received the letter in the mail, I applied straight away. Later that night, I received an email from an admissions counselor saying they would refund my money because the deadline had passed. I had to explain to them how they extended the deadline.

Has anyone else had communication problems with JMU?

My daughter got an email about two hours ago that said decisions were coming out tomorrow…Wednesday. Anyone else get that message?

I’ve done the same thing – looked at all the old e-mails from JMU. What we received when his application was complete was an Application Reference Number (begins with 00).

What we’re supposed to be waiting for is an e-mail that says decisions are rendered, and includes a PIN number that’s needed with the Application Reference Number in order to log on and check the decision. So no one who hasn’t received a decision e-mail has a PIN yet. Is that right?

That is correct

Yes, that is correct.

And @Hmmmmmmmm, perhaps they did the first half tonight and will do the second half tomorrow.
I haven’t received an email from JMU at all today, however.

I’m guessing not - because all the graphics showed up and all the links on the sides of the graphics work. Sounds like a bug to me if others got actual sentences. I wrote to the admissions officer and we’ll just wait until tomorrow when we can call.

In the meantime we’ll go with the no news is good news mentality.

Good luck to all, and to all a good night!

I’m wondering if there aren’t some folks having some fun with us. The names I recognize haven’t received e-mails from JMU; the names I don’t recognize have. Coincidence?

^ No, unfortunately they are for real. I just went on the JMU '14 facebook group and there are people announcing acceptances.

Darnit!
Well then I’ll just have to wait until tomorrow! D:

My D was waitlisted with a 3.7 GPA and 1230/1600 or 1900/2400 SATs. Exec. Board of Student Council, Immersion Abroad Program in Spain and 2 years of part time work. She really wanted to go to the Business School there. This is her second waitlist (the other Elon) and she was really thinking JMU was the place for her.

^^ or later tonight! I’m sure not giving up yet. Then again, it’s only 6:45 here.

And Zinniamum, I’m sorry to hear that and I wish her luck wherever she ends up :)

That’s really scary though.
