What's the worst thing you could put on your Princeton application?

I love the John Harvard statue at the center of Princeton's campus...

I like Prince spaghetti, I play tennis with Prince racquets, and I consider myself a Princess, so I guess I should go to Princteon?

"Name: Kaavya Viswanathan"

Favorite Website: College Confidential - Ivy League - Yale

Princetons essays were actually good topics. the quote one rocked. i used michael jordan...anyone else choose him?

Bad idea:
My idol=Heidi from MTV's "The Hills"

If anyone doesn't remember let me give them a hint:
"So, like, school, like, isn't, like, for everyone, like. Ya know, like? So that's, like, why I, like, decided, like, to quit, like."
Oh and let's not forget that when she did actually decide to go to school (for a day) she decided to skip class and play solitaire. And she whined when she got this" super awesome job that's, like, always been my dream, like" and realizes that she actually has to work as opposed to chatting with celebs at high profile parties, she whines to LC on the phone. G-d, MTV must do IQ tests on the people in their reality shows before deciding to put them on the show. Well some shows at least cough The Inferno, Real World (or shall I say Unreal World?), The Hills, Laguna Beach, etc cough
Unfortunately, MTV is still one of my guilty pleasures. :p

Haha, that's hilarious. I don't watch MTV so I never saw that happen, but I've seen the "like syndrome" plenty of times in school...

Yeah, same here lol
Actually, I must admit to having it a little bit...

I always thought Harvard should be number 1.

I promise to sell drugs to everyone.

If my roommate goes missing look in the dumpster.

Whats wrong with rape and assault?

Actually Y2kplaya92, some philosophers don't think there is anything wrong with rape--it's just the natural tendency of humans to procreate. I know of one or two Princeton professors that actually might think along those lines (perhaps not specifically rape, but some other "ethical issues").

I've heard that many times too jon314.
Especially regarding date rape.
And there are actually a surprising amount of points that prove to be true in those beliefs.

LMAOooooooooooo- interesting theory...makes sense but there is a reason humans are humans and dont give into impulsive animal behaviors...ethics are a part of our society-it is one of the things that separates us from other animals

Cmon. We all know that rape is about anger.
'Nuff said.

omg. u can prove anythign with philosophy, but proving that is pretty sad. i once heard a joke:

once there was a gr8 philosopher who was dying and all his students were standing by his bedside. the line of students trailed out the door of house and much farther away. you can just imaginge the scene. in his last few breaths he motions for one of the students to come close so he can tell them something. the student leans in and he whispers, "Life is a river." immediately the student regards what he has said as a wonderful philosophical idea and he whispers it to the person next to him. eventually, the philosopher's words reach the end of the line of students. the last student asks the student in front of him, "what does he mean 'life is a river'?" the student in front of him passes this question on to the student in front of him, and - like the philosopher's statement - it goes back up the line. eventually, it reaches the student who had heard what the philosopher said. he then asked the philosopher, "what do you mean, 'life is a river'?" to this the great philosopher replied, "So it isn't a river."
:)
I found this very funny, and hope you guys/gals enjoy!

Oh! PS: I have to admit that I am a major victim of the like syndrome. Luckily I, like, don't, like, write, like, that , like. Oops, I think I just did. Well I guess there's a first for everything :p

PPS To all y'all who get accepted i really hope i will meet you guys if i get accepted to princeton class of 2012. G/L to all who have applied and to all those who haven't G/L with your other apps!

borat: very nice very nice... how much?
P'ton guy: 48K. per year

lol, this is stolen from the Penn thread

that doesnt make any sense at all. some ppl rape w/ protection on and stuff, becuz they might not want to make it ez for ppl to trace them. besides, they would still rape even if they were sterile or something

It's not necessarily the procreation part.
It's the sex drive that comes with it.

everything i know about rape i learned from law and order svu
