From the beginning of your college learning experience, Freshman year, were you happy with the major that you have chosen or did you change it to something else because of an interest change or the like? I've heard that it can sometimes be pretty difficult to change from one major to another. Did you ever change your major of study or know someone who did, and just what was their experience like?

my intended major during foundation and which is the same majore i'm pursuing in the fall is fashion design.

i know a lot of kids whose interests have grown growing through foundation.
a girl i knew intended to go into fashion but changed her mind because she realized that a lot of her interest in fashion was shopping related, and she's going into fine arts.

when it comes to changing majors, the only problem/issue is the credits that the classes you take for a certain major won't necessarily be equivelents to that of another major because of the curriculum. Its like majoring in graphic design, the curriculum in a graphic design major is completely the opposite to one of a sculpture major, so if you wanted to switch from major to major, most likely you'd have to start the new major from the beginning.

i spent 2 years at syracuse where i did foundation, a semester in communications design, hated it [ i went to syracuse to do this major ] switched to printmaking when i knew i was most likely going to transfer schools.. loved printmaking.

and now i'm going to be a graphic design major at calarts.
