The list can go on and on...

Come on, would ANY of you truthfully reject Harvard if you got in???;)

actually i would turn down harvard without a second thought and it doesnt have that many hott preppy girls..... diverse culture???? are you kidding?

good pharmacy program, the best co-op program, plenty of opportunities to gain experience in the field and build a resume, boston, diverse, not too cutt-throat, not a small liberal arts annoying type of thing, within my reach to get in

Terry, they celebrate pretty much every cultural festival/occasion at Harvard and the university is composed of more than 120 nationalities and ethnic groups, making it the most diverse university in the world.

Also, if you want to turn down a future of financial success, pimped-out Ferraris, luxurious mansions/summer houses, and hot supermodels, then by all means disregard my previous post.

Yeah, Harvard definitely is diverse. Ever heard of AA? Ever wondered why Asian seniors are so bitter and minorities are so confused? Hehe, don't shoot me.

I would honestly turn down Harvard. First of all, if I get into Harvard, I'd PROBABLY get into Yale too (though I realize this isn't always the case), and I'd definitely choose Yale. On the other hand, however, if I went to Harvard, I'd be socially pressed into hating Yale for being the archrival. I just wouldn't be able to make myself do it. Thus my social life would suffer and I would be miserable forever. I wouldn't want that, would I?

theoneo, do you know that Yale is referred to as the "gay ivy" and that you risk being shot by gang THUGGERS in New Haven??? I think Yale is a little bit too "unique" for my tastes but nevertheless, suit yourself.

Besides, Harvard PW3NS Yale in Football every year!!!

Patrick Bateman: He was into that whole Yale thing.
Donald Kimball: Yale thing?
Patrick Bateman: Yeah, Yale thing.
Donald Kimball: What whole Yale thing?
Patrick Bateman: Well, he was probably a closet homosexual who did a lot of cocaine. That whole Yale thing.

-American Psycho

Hahaha.

At least Yale actually has a mascot. Come on, you have to admit that's damn embarrassing. And that THUGGERS comment only proves how pompous and sheltered Harvard is.

University of Georgia Major? Public Relations Why? The campus, the reputation (everyone I've talked to absolutely LOVES/LOVED it there), the 'school spirit', location (being from Chicago, the futher south the better...although it is not the reason I chose it, just an added incentive ;]), has a good study abroad program, and **ATHENS/b

Princeton
Major: ChemE, Biochem, Neurosciences (Possibly one of the three, IDK yet)
Why:
1. Excellent Academics
2. Undergraduate focus
3. Best Financial Aid
4. Midway between NYC + Philly
5. Professors care more about students than, say, Harvard
6. Prestige - not gonna deny this is a factor
7. Overall awesomeness of student body
8. The most beautiful campus in the US
9. Small class sizes
10. Suburban, safe environment

Holy crap, you guys all going to really good schools... Maybe I'm underachieving with my 3.8 GPA and 2220 SAT, but I'm going to:

Texas A&M
Double Major in Genetics and Biochem (mostly Genetics)
Minor in Chem

And really, I'm fine with it. I think in the end, it's not where you go, but what you get out of the program. Besides, I have raised some money myself and can help my parents pay for the first two years, which I think it's kinda nice.

Well, ya, it's a good school. It just doesn't have the impact that the tohers have, but I'm still happy. :) (Except that people there seem a bit close minded... oh well, if you are too open minded i hear your brain falls out anyway)

Yeah, I got accepted in October and I'll be turning 17 in about two weeks. I'm youngest in my school's senior class, but it's really nothing much.

I always liked Indiana, but after realizing how Rank/SAT hungry they are, I decided to pull out. U. Nebraska is great because you have your smart kids, and your lazy kids, it creates a nice balance. Very affordable education, even for out of state students like me. Football there is god, with a nice social life. The people there are of the mid-western personality, very nice. There has been some grade inflation going on recently, and Omaha commerce is expanding rapidly.
