When are admission decisions coming?

That’ll depend on where you live.
As an international I might get it in July if I am lucky LOL

I live in north carolina. in approx how many day do you guys think I’ll get my letter?

So when are the admission decisions available online? @Keepyourshirton I’m in the same boat, i live halfway across the world!

3 or 4 days after decisions are mailed? Just start checking “where am I in the process” from 27th

@2221BBB When was the last time you received a letter from the US Postal Service on the day it was mailed? You have a better chance of winning Mega Millions. lol

How long do you guys think it will take to get to NJ? I’m thinking one or two days.

I have tracked correspondences from UIUC which is approx. three hours further than CMU from my house. I anticipate receiving the letter on Wednesday or Thursday if there are weather issues.

“CMU Admission ‏@CM_Admission 8h
4 days until we put decision letters in the mail! You’ll be able to see your decision on Where Am I in the Process on March 28…” I live in the Midwest, so I’m hoping to get my letter by the 26th…ahhhh. Admissions to my school was under 10% this year…

approx. 360 were selected for SCS out of 6000!!! 6% acceptance rate. Well, there goes my chances down the drain.

@ArchieGirl I assume you’re going for the architecture school then? Where did you get that information?

@agg999 yeah…and most who declined the offer ended up in HYPSM or Cal…I applied SCS first choice but really I think I have a better shot at Tepper or IS.

My S applied to business school. Anyone knows whats acceptance rate there?

This came from Wiki so I cannot confirm its accuracy but it was the only website with recent numbers.

“Undergraduate Selectivity
The Tepper School’s undergraduate admissions have become increasingly competitive. In 2011 offering a little over 13% admission, in 2012 offering a little over 11% admission and recently in 2013 offering just over 9% of applicants admission to the program making it one of the most selective undergraduate business programs in the country.”

According to whatbusinessschool.com the undergraduate program had a 15.1% admit rate in 2010.

Hope this helps. I too am waiting to hear back from Tepper.

Oh No I thought this was a safety school. Well there is always Community College. lol

Safety at CMU you are kidding me…
I’d say it’s seriously underestimated on US News rankings

@agg999 Where did you get that statistic from? It’s pretty daunting.

Oh that stat is from the CMU official website
Another fact agg didn’t mention is that the Middle Range for SAT has an upper boundary at 2400

@krrgn3 they posted all the admission rates for each college on CMU admission twitter. No hope for SCS now :(

@keepyourshirton I was only kidding. I hope you get in so you can learn some American humor and have a couple of laughs. good luck.

Hahahah
Not hopeful since I “happened” to have applied for the most difficult ones in CMU
