15th is a Friday. I'm 100% sure 16th is a Saturday, because I am going to a math competition at Princeton that day. So if decisions are mailed out on the 15th, that will be insane, because I could like get my decision by calling my parents WHILE I'm at Princeton. Neat, eh?

When my guidance counselor called in and asked, they said that decisions would be mailed out on 12/14 or 12/15 (most likely the latter).

Whoops, The 15th is Friday, not Saturday. Still then, it will be Monday at the earliest.

In all honesty though, I think that they will be mailing them out a little earlier than the 15th. They recognize that people are on a deadline here, we need to know if we have to submit RD apps which are due the 1st.

this is the response i got: she said that they are not yet done making decisions and are not sure when they will send out results- some time in mid-december. She said to call back next week for an exact date

foolonthehill: yeah, but that could be amazing or incredibly depressing.

i am very upset right now. ALL of the people i know who are applying anywhere ED (~15 people) are getting their decisions at a fixed time (online), usually on the 14th, or have already gotten them. >:(

ok, I PMed orbits so even if he doesn't look at the forum he will get the message! I told him to post whether he actually spoke with Pton about this.

Edit: ok, with what hopeful said, I'm now pretty sure that orbits was just guessing

Edit 2: thank god!!!

I know a few people who are being informed on Thursday, the 7th for Columbia. I wish Princeton would get decisions out a little earlier, if only to put a happy ending to endless anticipation. :)

yay, thanks btlesgirl. that would be funny if he just made that up, or mistyped. lol maybe be meant to say "decisions are mailed on the 10th" or something like that...

yep. also:
MIT- dec 9, 12pm
Cornell: fixed time, i think dec 14
Penn: dec 14, 5pm
Duke: dec 14, 6pm
UVA: dec 1!!

yeah- BD- i need ANY kind of ending to this anticipation as soon as possible

you know what's so great about this? we can all freak out together! i mean seriously, if i had found out that information on my own, i would just be sitting here, in a corner, all alone, screaming at my dad or something.
well i guess if my dad was there i wouldn't be alone.
but you get the point. :p

^^I'm kinda hoping for a happy ending to the anticipation, not just any ending. :p

i am dying.... i sleep, eat and breath princeton results...I NEED TO KNOW!

haha yeah i'm HOPING for a happy ending but i want WHATEVER ending they're going to give me NOW!!

i am sure everyone would prefer a happy ending

is there a reason princeton is against releasing decisions online? we could use our PINs or they could email us.

I dont know if they're specifically against it. Have they said it wont be available online or anything?

Its the 11th in NJ.

I know 1 boy who got his that day.

y2k,

A friend got his on the 15th here last year, but I guess they are saying this year is later.

just because it was that last yr doesn't mean the same is true this yr

They mail them out the 11th? So that means I would get them the 12th or something.
