My D was accepted ED to Haverford and so far there hasn't been a request to send in a deposit (apparently parents are also expected to follow the honor code!). Does anyone know when they will start asking for money?

Haverford doesn’t require you to send in a deposit because in the spirit of the Honor Code they trust that you will uphold your promise and enroll at Haverford.

I loved that there was no deposit due to the honor code! My S is a junior. We usually get a bill for half of the tuition and room/board fees due in Mid-August and a second bill in early Dec. The first bill will include student fees and a $600. bookstore fee that is required. If you do use up the entire $600 at the bookstore, the money is refunded to you the following summer. Welcome to the Haverford Community!

Thanks revbon. I didn’t realize they wouldn’t ever ask for the deposit, I just thought it was delayed. I appreciate the info.

That is awesome!

Haverford really is a special place.

Haverford is also one of the schools that have an option to spread the tuition payments over 10 months without any interest payments. I believe the first payment is due in May or June if you choose this option. Its been a bit for us, so you would need to look up the website or call Haverford for the current sign-up options. If you call Haverford, they can direct you to the online sign up.
