When are waitlisted candidates notified of decisions?

Well.. my question is in the subject =) I'd appreciate an answer!

I believe they come out gradually over the next few weeks, starting around now. Sorry I can’t give you an exact date.

If you are not selected for admission, you never get a formal rejection. It’s a bad policy but most colleges do it that way…

Does Wellesley follow that policy?

My daughter is currently on the waitlist, but hasn’t heard anything yet from Wellesley. Has anyone been contacted and gotten off the list yet?

I talked to my area rep. last week and she said that they are still trying to figure out numbers for next year, and that they might notify people again in the next three weeks.

We received a call from “Dominique” about 1:45 pm (central) today with an admissions offer … have until Thursday to decide!

congratulations, waitlistdad!

Congrats to your daughter waitlistdad!

Did your daughter happen to send in some extra information also while she was waitlisted?

Yes, she did. She sent a copy of her final transcript and class ranking along with a list of her scholarship & academic awards received since May 1.

Waitlistdad,

Congratulations to daughter for being accepted off the waitlist (-:

I am curious, where was your daughter planning on attending college
if she did not get off the waitlist?

I hope she goes to Wellesley! If you live within driving distance,

even a few hours, it is worth visiting the college. The campus is breathtaking,
professors are inspiring and supportive, students are bright and motivated,
and alumnae are accomplished and loyal Wellesley sisters.

Yes, she is going to Wellesley. We received the financial aid package yesterday and it was excellent. We live in the midwest, so we don’t have any immediate plans to visit the campus, although we have visited in the recent past, so are very familiar with the campus and the Boston area. She was planning on attending a local state college where she received a very nice scholarship, but her first choice was always Wellesley. We are absoluely thrilled that things have worked out.

Waitlistdad,

Welcome to Wellesley! I love how it all worked out for your daughter (-:

Has anyone else found out if they were accepted from the waitlist?

I know it closes on June 30th, but I’m just wondering if they seem to be accepting any more people.
