When are we notified?

Hey, the multicultural thing kinda sounds cool!
But does it apply to…Asian American students living abroad?? (i hope so!)
Well, I knew someone who got accepted in march so I guess the results come out late march-ish…

i think they come out on march 13th…im soooo nervous :/

Where do we “hear” first, post, e-mail, or the application status deal? Also, anyone with past experience with scholarship notifications is welcome to comment here! I am so nervous, I hope I get all! haah.

Ugh shoot… I just had a thought. I left the “ethnic identification” section unchecked. So even if I get in, I won’t be invited to the multicultural weekend. Great. The one time in the college process my ORM status could have benefited me.

Searching through postings from past years, it looks like scholarship notification/invitation starts towards the end of February with a phone call and then a mailing. Getting close!

i think March 14ish online but i’m just going from last year

RD admissions decisions are emailed or are available on-line?

Mid March?

The usual pattern is as follows: scholarship recipients get a phone call in late February followed closely by a mailing. Some admitted students will also be invited to visit the campus at university expense (multi-cultural weekend, art weekend, etc.) Those students typically receive something in the mail a few days prior to the admissions decisions being available online. If they follow roughly the same schedule as the last 2 years 5:00 PM Central on Friday, March 13th is a reasonable guess for when decisions will be available online.

All this is based upon previous years experience; I have no information whether they will follow the same pattern/procedure this year. Good luck to everyone.

Scholarship semi finalists will be notified within the next 10 days to 2 weeks, with an invitation to visit the campus (all expenses paid) for Scholars Interview weekend at the end of March. RD decisions should be available on or about the weekend of March 13.

ohmygod March 13 is pretty darn close! I’m so nervous!!

I’m so nervous, for both scholarship notifications (X!) and March 13th, hopefully they’ll be released then! Nobody really answered this, are the decisions posted online (at the “application status” deal)? !!

Yes, the decisions are posted online as part of the application status. But even if you hear early by phone call or mail that you are accepted your online status will not change until the time that all decisions are released. Hope that’s clear.

I hope someone will post as soon as they are notified of scholarship weekend invitation!

^ I will, as soon as I hear either way!

Multicultural Weekend? Is this different from the scholarship trips (Rodriguez, Ervin, etc.)? Does this mean that if you’re Hispanic and you become a Semi-Finalist for a Rodriguez scholarship they fly you down to campus twice? That’s exciting  I can’t wait to hear back from them…

^ haha that would be sweet!

I’m Caucasian, unfortunately, but they’ve already paid to fly me out there on some sort of “travel grant” that a few CCers randomly got. I’m assuming it was based on National Merit status or something. Anyway, I’ve already visited on their tab once, so if I get to go again for Scholarship Weekend, I’ll flip!!

Multicultural Weekend and Scholar Interview weekend are independent of each other. If invited to Scholars Interview weekend, you must attend in order to be considered for a scholarship.

flying out there twice would be pretty sweet. if could only be so lucky. oh well, i’ll dare to dream.

holy…!!!
i just got accepted! via facebook!
!!! starts celebratory parade
haha, now i need to go do a couple of victory laps around town :D

What do you mean you got accepted via facebook? Are you sure it’s legit?
