Assuming you are to receive one does Missouri send those award letters out after processing the FAFSA info?
If you mean the automatic scholarships, I got a letter a couple weeks after being being admitted. But in March or April (can’t remember which month), final financial aid letters will be mailed that contains all information about aid given.
Late followup to this, some info that might help others. Kid is attending Missouri with Mark Twain. Initially did not receive award, but after followup call found out denial was because they recalc’d his GPA and came out with a much lower score.
Here is what happened. His school does not issue letter grades but numeric (0-100) and uses a higher grading scale than most schools (92, 85, 77, 70 instead of 90, 80, 70, 60). Admissions recalcs your GPA using your schools grading scale but with straight letter grades, no + or -. With the higher grading scale at his high school his 90 & 91 scores were counted as Bs (3.0) and his 80-84 scores were counted as Cs (2.0). Admissions personnel noticed this during our call and had me submit an appeal asking them to reconsider his application after recalcing his GPA using the more common 90/80/70/60 scale. Submitted appeal and receive award notice via email about a day later.
Can’t say enough about how helpful admissions was at Missouri throughout this process.
