I'm planning on taking physics junior year, which will be the last of my science courses for the MCAT. However, I also am going to take the MCAT the summer after my junior year, so I was wondering when I'll have time to take an MCAT course? Or any advice for how should I take it?

Thanks.

take it during the spring concurrent with physics 2

agree with IWBB. I took physics 1 fs jr yr, physics 2 ss jr yr while doing MCAT prep via Kaplan, took the MCAT that May, applied during that cycle, was accepted, and started med school after that cycle.

What do you academic advisors recommend? I just followed the advice of mine.

Just realized you may have meant late summer (which I would only recommend if you’re taking a gap year). If so, then you could take the course during the summer. At Kaplan at least the summer courses move at a faster pace and take less time since you’ll have less on your plate outside of the MCAT

I meant like June actually. I’ll check with my advisors though. I’m just worried that one spring won’t be enough for me to remember everything from chemistry, bio, org, etc.

^Well, you get several weeks off for winter break, so try to review as much as you can during that time (they give you the books ahead of time when you sign up with Kaplan, you can even watch lessons online) and then take the class during spring semester.

Right after spring finals.

I’m on quarter system - end in mid-june.

Mid-June is a bit late. D. took MCAT in mid-May - 2 weeks after the spring finals, 2 weeks that were waste of her time, by her assessment, she should have scheduled MCAT couple days after spring finals.
