When can we go home after fall quarter?

<p>Just as the title says:</p>

<p>When can we get out of campus after fall quarter?</p>

<p>The academic calendar says fall quarter starts on 9/24 and ends on 12/14.

<p>1) Does this mean that we can leave for home from 12/14 for winter break?</p>

<p>2) Do we have to get out of dorm rooms by the same date as well? </p>

<p>3) When do the students normally leave campus for a break?</p>

<p>I want to know these because I'm booking flight tickets!</p>

<p>It depends entirely on your finals schedule for fall, which depends on your orientation time since that determines whether you get the classes of your choice or not. If you want to be safe, book it sometime during late friday of finals week since you pay to stay until then anyways and for sure every possible finals will have been over</p>

<p>yep- let's say your last final is on the tuesday of finals week, from 8-11 am. rare, but it happens. you could book a flight as soon as you wanted after that (say, 4pm that tuesday) and say sayonara to all your friends with later finals!</p>

<p>of course, if your last final is friday 3-6pm (the last possible final exam time), then you're stuck there til friday night or saturday morning. you're supposed to leave the dorms by a certain time (friday night i believe) but can arrange a stayover if need be.</p>

<p>say that we're not living in the dorms after finals on friday. is there any way we can go back in the dorms to get our stuff during winter break? say around the monday after finals week</p>

<p>no. you have to check out at front desk and return your room key when you leave for winter break. you also cant stay later than like 5pm on friday or something like that unless you prove you have a late final that day or legitimate transportation issues and request a stayover for friday night (of course, for a fee).</p>

<p>you should have gotten an email. or look for a flier saying "winter move out instructions" posted randomly around the buildings, or in those little placard things when you eat in the dining hall.</p>

<p>I forgot why. All I remember is last year, I forgot my wallet and I was so scared of theft that I had to drive back during Winter break to come and get it :(. Well, I think my Dad drove, so it wasn't too bad.</p>

<p>of my four quarters, three of them have had friday finals, and winter quarter i'll have one as well. GRRRRR!</p>
