When can we start picking classes?

On Myzou it says that the earliest enrollment period is Aug. 16 or something like that. That's really late and you would only have a few days to do things after you enroll. I don't think that's very convenient. I also know that if you go to the summer welcome, you can choose your classes there but I don't think I'll go because of work and things like that. I was just wondering when was the earliest we could sign up for classes. Surely it can't be that Aug 16 date on Myzou.

Usually freshmen do it during Summer Welcome. You will get your appointment with a counselor and choose the classes. Earlier you go to the Summer Welcome ( it’s two day sessions starting in June) more choices you have.

Can I get an appointment without going to summer welcome? I would like to go up there for maybe a day because I don’t want to have to take two days off of work for summer welcome.

There are Sunday & Monday summer welcome days - they go during all days of the week. I think this is something I’d take a day off for.

Unfortunately we had to pick one of the later dates. We are going June 27th & June 28th. She doesn’t graduate till June 15th and her brother has classes till June 17th. She also goes to Senior week the following week so it was the earliest we could go.

Don’t worry! You still will have a plenty of classes to choose from. Only one class ( Calc 3) was full in June; and it’s because usually sophomores take it ( they can do it in March). She added it to her waiting list and got it in August. So far she has not had any problems with getting classes of her choice.
