Is it really April 15th?! Why does it come out so late!

No, the “Official Fat Letters” are sent out beginning around March 20th and all the decisions are posted online on the personal accounts at the very end of March, last year I think it was March 28 at midnight but you can check in last years thread.

I called fin-aid office this morning, and they told me the decision comes out on March 23rd.

oh. well that’s a surprise I was not expecting!

how do we find out whether or not we got in?

So if you get in expect the acceptance package on monday or tuesday unless you are an international.

Actually, I’m pretty sure they send them in out waves. So don’t be discouraged if you don’t get a package on one of those days!! I remember last year my friend got one and I didn’t so I totally thought I was rejected but I checked online and got accepted. My letter just got mailed out later. Going online to check is the safest bet.

ED 2 decisions came out on January 15, but my acceptance was online on January 4, so who knows…

According to their Facebook, decisions are online tonight after midnight Eastern Time.

A couple of years ago when my older son applied to CMU, he only found out he was accepted via the letter. They never updated his portal. Even a month later it still was blank!
