By what date will CMU notify folks of admission decision for RD?

Late March to Early April (some have reported mid april?)

some kid said he recived email that decisions will be released from 03/21 to 04/21 (?)

anyone else receive it?

do we find out online or e-mail or do we wait for mail?

Usually mail comes a day or just at the same time as online decisions.

Just don't be sitting there refreshing the "Where am I" link over and over again :)

yeah, i recently got the e-mail saying we would get decisions between March 21 and Apr. 21. ahhhh.. I can't wait until mid April!

Ah, no early letters?

Good luck with your college search!

Thanks,

why do the dates differ? i got one just like that, only it said between 3/21-4/21

My e-mail was sent :
Sun Jan 29, 2006

When was yours ?

whoa... got mine march 6.

you got your admission decision?

i was talking about the email they sent about notification dates

How come I didn't get any?

i didn't receive any emails from carnegie-mellon.

A lot of people don't. I didn't get an email last year. It doesn't mean you aren't as qualified or Carnegie Mellon is not as interested in you.

After all, I got accepted with a scholarship :)

Do you happen to know if the letters are any indication of acceptance, or if they just sent them to everyone with SATs over XYZ0.

I do not think they are an indication of acceptance, as I said I was accepted with a scholarship without any kind of contact at all.

I do not think there is a SAT min either as Carnegie Mellon prides itself on being holistic in admissions.

There are "likely" phone calls though but these emails are hardly anything more than a "We got your app, thanks".

They never had my email... so I never got any letters. It pretty much revolves around whether they decided to bother putting your email in the system that day, I figure. I sent mine in hard copy so they probably didn't bother. If you send your app in through the computer, it probably adds your email automatically, so then you get a letter. I never really got anything in the mail... until my acceptance letter. Don't worry about it, it doesn't mean anything.

My friend's sister (who goes there) said we get decisions March 28th.
