I was wondering if anyone knew when the decisions will come out. I am deferred in Early decision round and pretty nervous now. >.<

I don’t think anyone here has any inside access, but I do think one poster said she had been on campus and asked and was told decisions would be sent out on March 25th. That sounds about right to me based on past years. That means people would start getting Express Mail packages later on this week or the first of next week. International applicants would get e-mails sooner than that…

Hang in there and all the best to you!

To Churchmusicmom, thanks a lot

Churchmusicmom;

So the envelope is an Express Mail package? Getting that envelope = instant acceptance?

Ahhh!! This is so exciting! :)

Unless they change it up from what they have done for the past five years…it’s in a large-ish express mail mailer (not a box…more like a cardboard envelope). It’s big and hard to miss. And not everyone gets them on the same day, so it’s tough on those that don’t get them first. But hang in there!

i went to the campus a couple of weeks ago to hand in my financial aid stuff and they said they’re mailing it out march 25 – WHICH IS TOMORROW (well actually its today)
so you should get it like friday or saturday…depending where you live.

nyc kids like myself are probably going to hear first and then it’ll fan out. good luck to you! and good luck to me:D

I’m too excited to sleep! And today is only the day of mailing!
Wishing the best for every applicant :)

All the best to all you wonderful ladies! I can’t wait to hear about all your acceptances.

And please do trust that you will be where you are meant to be next year! You all have so much to offer…

Here is an article to read while you wait.

[When Success Follows the College Rejection Letter - WSJ.com](http://online.wsj.com/article/SB20001424052748704211704575139891390595962.html)

Not that I think any of you will get the proverbial “thin envelope”! It’s just that Columbia University’s “prez bo” (President Bolinger) is quoted in the article.

If the letters were sent today, does that mean that international students should be receiving emails tonight?

Yes. Quite possibly.

A slightly unrelated question:

International applicants will for sure get their emails before decisions appear in mailboxes, right?

That is how it has seemed to work in the past. Nobody here know for sure about ANY of this, however…

hey guys,
are you sure international students get e-mails as soon as the decision is mailed?

can someone call the university please? no just kidding…just very stressed

YOUHOUUUUUUUUUUUU I GOT IN BARNARD—but what does scholarship means?? does it means that i still have to go to school? (im not good in english and schol looks like school can someone please explain?)

senyung,

what are you saying?

As I said, in the past the international students seemed to get their e-mails before most of the letters arrived. But NOBODY here can tell you exactly when and how you will find out. Barnard could have even changed how they are doing it this year! So sorry, but there you go…

Hang in there. I can almost promise that by this time next week, you should know…

Churchmusicmom;

You’re amazing!

That article really made me smile. Thank you. :)

Indeed, the article was certainly refreshing to read after receiving a waitlisted letter from BC
I thought for sure I’d get in too
but yes, thanks Churchmusicmom
