When do decisions start coming in?

My apps been listed as "complete" since 11/23. Anyway, when does UT usually start accepting/rejecting people?

I turned in my application in mid-September and heard in early November of my acceptance. You will probably know by late January, at the latest.

kcirsch....when you say "late January"....would that be for students in top 10% only or both?..

I was top 10% but probably both...I know ppl who are OOS who are already in.

depends on what college you applied to. I applied 10/31 to college of communication and found out in the first week of november. I still haven't found out about the two honors programs in the college of liberal arts.

I applied OOS to College Of Natural Sciences.

I'm OOS to COLA. My application was complete by mid-October (ACT, SAT scores sent, actual application filed September). I also applied to the Summer Freshman Class, which means I would be moving to Austin in June. I don't want to wait until April for a decision. . . .

what does OOS and COLA stand for?? : )

Out of state and College of Liberal Arts

go read that guy who was OOS and got accepted in 24 hours...

Haha, I'm a girl, and I'm in-state.
UT sends out acceptance letters to top 10% people as soon as they've received and processed the entire application.
As for non top 10% people, like myself, they look for stand-outs: i.e. high test scores combined with high ranks, then wait for a completed application to admit you. So I talk to an admissions person on the phone, and it's pretty much unheard of to get accepted within 24 hrs like I did, but it makes sense. They basically had already picked me, waited for my essays, read them on Dec 1 (they said they did...) and posted my acceptance that night.
They said, basically, that if you dont get accepted about 2 weeks after your entire application is complete, then you will have to wait until March when all of the acceptance letters go out.
I have yet to meet anyone else who is not in the top 10% but was accepted before March. They said it's not uncommon because they want us to have priority in housing.

Cocky ----^

sorry, didn't mean to sound cocky.
