When do grades come out? (current students)

Don't worry. My son when from a 2.999 first semester to Dean's list second semester freshman year. It's a matter of adjustment.

Woooooooooh! All A's and a B+. Damn it feels good

tsdad,

why don't you give your son some room to breath? he's is college for god's sake, not a preschooler. Butt out of his business.

Gee student4u, you really have some attitude towards others.

Student4u,

His son's school is his business. I am sure tsdad didn't imply that he was a controlling father. He merely offered some encouragement for others, by his son's example. Why the hostility? Geeze.

I was not being hostile. I think its great that he cares about his son's education and future so much. however, he gave me the feeling of one of those parents who freakishly follow their kids every move. Furthermore, why would a parent be on this site? its for us "kids", go do parent stuff, like work

Sheesh! There is no decorum anymore. What happened to respect for elders? If my parents are willing to pay $45000+ a year for USC they have every right to be in my life. Student4u, just calm down. It is a messageboard and you can at least be polite.

There are other forums at College Confidential that are helpful for parents (the Parents forum being one of them). This site isn't just for "us 'kids.'" The language you used, student4u, was plainly hostile. If you can't see that, then maybe you need to reevaluate your writing. I don't want to turn this thread off-topic, but the original question was answered already. Looking at some of your other posts, they aren't very considerate. You don't like your parents or your family, your posts say. That doesn't mean you should act hostile toward other parents like tsdad.

is there anybody else here who took buad 101? i just checked it and it says that i didn't receive any credit although i did not miss more than 2 assignments. for the grade it says "MG." can someone explain this to me?

MG stands for "Missing Grade". It means that your professor did not submit your grade. Either it is because he was lazy (meaning everyone in your class got an MG) or it may have been because you missed an assignment or something like that. I'd email your professor about this.

since it was a pass/fail class, is there supposed to be a grade listed?

what do the numbers mean?

yellowpages, in my two credit/no credit courses, I received CR (credit). I would assume that should say P/F for pass/fail courses.

Isnt credit/no credit the exact same thing as pass/fail?

And yeah, my C/NC class had "CR" listed as the grade.

I don't think it's the same because some courses are C/NC by nature, while others are normally graded A-F, but you can choose to take it P/F.
