<p>It’s usually available around mid- to late August, but I heard from Matt McGann that it may be out a little late this year.</p>
<p>whatt?! so we only get like 2 months if we want to early action?</p>
<p>You don’t need two months to fill out an application ;)</p>
<p>Yeah, but some people, like I, play Fall sports and want to finish their applications prior to the beginning of the school year so as to avoid a complete overload between an extremely rigorous schedule of the typical MIT applicant, a sport and finishing applications.</p>
<p>Is the later release date an indication of greater changes to the application than from years’ past?</p>
<p>I think Matt mentioned that some things will be changed. I don’t know how major these changes will be though.</p>

<p>But you just said it, bigjay - most MIT applicants are busy people. Trust me, the application process is mostly about staying organized. The part that takes time is the essay-writing, but that’s not going to completely overload you.</p>
<p>so we are gonna write essay 1 and 2 at same time? If so it’s “awesome” for me !</p>
<p>I have a PDF of last year’s app. But now I am afraid they are gonna change the essay topics… so I feel too scared to start writing. lol</p>

<p>Calm down. Nobody knows for sure, but Matt said it would be later this year than usual. For reference, they usually say mid to late August, but IIRC last year it came out early August.</p>
