When do they see your GPA?

I dont fully understand the application process when it comes to this.

I’m going to have a 3.45 gpa heading into Fall semester, and I’m applying this year for Fall next year(2016).

After Fall 2015 semester, I hope to have a 3.65 GPA. My question is, will they see the 3.45 or the 3.65 when I apply to schools? Do they see my grades before the end of Fall semester, or after the end of Fall semester? Or both?

It depends on when the application deadline is. UCs (and other universities that have deadlines in november/december) will will see the 3.45. Universities that have the March deadline will see the 3.65. There will also most likely be midterm grade reports that you will have to turn in though.

Well I know that they ask for your transcripts by the end of January, which would have the 3.65 on it. But Im assuming based on what you are saying that they will have already made their decision based on the 3.45 by that point…

If they ask for additional transcripts after, then they haven’t made their decision yet and will take the new ones into consideration as well. It all depends on the school.
