When do we find out our roommates and on-campus housing assignments?

<p>The deadline for making choices was yesterday, so now when do we find out the results? Will we receive an email? Or will it just show up on the website?</p>

<p>It’ll show up on UTDirect under housing where your contract information is. If they entered their phone number it would be there with their email address.</p>

<p>I cant remember if they sent an email.</p>

<p>We are working on room assignments this week. We hope to show them on the web next week. Sometime during July 20 -24.</p>

<p>Is housing based on senority?</p>

<p>I have no idea what housing is based on, but I’ve been told that the vast majority of freshmen end up in Jester.</p>

<p>It’s because non-Freshmen got to register so many months earlier than Freshmen did. They clearly get first pick at better housing. That’s why Duren and San Jac have far less Freshmen that other dorms, but nowhere near none. I know a friend of mine, a Freshman in Fall 08, who got San Jac. He applied for housing in October of 2007 though.</p>

<p>I actually put Jester as my #1 pick. Everything I need is about a 3 minute walk away. lol</p>

<p>Well, most of the other dorms are right behind Jester too, so it’s about the same. But I agree that I kinda want Jester now, even though I had put it as my 5th choice. I like the idea of being around a lot of people, plus you get a sink in your room. For some reason I really like that.</p>

<p>I was also told that Freshman also have priority on the waiting list. If a transfer student is waitlisted and applied in March and a Freshman applies today, they get ahead of the Transfer. My boyfriend was told he had no chance because of this so he went to Dobie.</p>
