Do we find out at orientation after we register or more around the time we move in?

Do you mean your Fall class schedule? If so, then as soon as you register you can print out a copy of your classes’ times and places.

you have to understand that you create your own schedule when you register – its not like in hs where you tell them what courses you want and they plug them in and tell you your schedule.

each course section is offered a specific time – you choose which courses (and which section of a course if there are more than one) you register for courses based on: (1) what you want to take, (2) what is still open (ie has room in the course) and (3) what fits in your schedule with the other courses you want to take.

fyi – the course listings are already on line if you want to look at them – just don’t make yourself crazy – they will help you at orientation. also – if they do what they’ve done in the past, they set aside a number of seats in typical freshman level classes – so even though it may look like a course is closed or have only a few slots, they may open more right before each orientations’ registration (they release some for each orientation so that those with later orientations still have a chance at those classes).
