when do we get the second email?

Does everyone get an email saying "Thank you for submitting an application for the Yale College Class of 2013" with instructions on checking the onlinedecisions page at the same time, massed emailed? Or do they send that only after they've decided on your file?

(I don't mean that first email that says "This message is to let you know that your application to Yale has been received by the Admissions Office and entered into our database." I got that already.)

I just received a second e-mail about the ELI account today...I would assume that they send this e-mail to all SCEA applicants, but I don't know for sure...

I was wondering that, too. I got one today.

I got one today, and I also got two e-mails regarding Eli and also the Eli thing in the mail today (so 3 copies of the Eli e-mail).

I received the notification via email as well today

so i guess we can pretty much conclude they were mass emailed.

Why would they send them out individually after they had made a decision on your application? That doesn't really make any sense to me.

i got my second e-mail about my eli account a couple of days ago (they said in the e-mail that if I had already received it before, I should ignore this one.. since it's the same information)

i also got the physical letter in the mail that same day

i originally got my first e-mail about my eli pin number 10 days after i applied.. and then i got my second e-mail plus the letter in the mail exactly 7 days after that

so a 17 day span for me for both e-mails / letter

do you guys know if/when they will email us to let us know the exact date and time that our admissions decisions will be posted? right now, they keep saying decisions will be released in mid-decemeber, but i'm hoping for something more specific...

thanks!

december 15

you can check status at 5 pm on 12/15

so is it definitely 5 pm?

^even if it isn't, it's not like it'll be much later.

well as long as it isn't during school, that would be annoying
