When do we officially get to know about the experimental??? (International)

Does the collegeboard release which section was experimental? If so when is this, specifically for the December 5th SAT?
I had 4 CR sections so 1 of them is experimental :
1)One about the family and their Caravan.
2)A man defending why he chose to right a novel on himself.
3)Black man talking about the novels he read.
4)Commercialization of universities.

Over on the other Internationals thread we’ve figured it out - the experimental section is almost certainly the one about the french philosopher Montaigne and his self reflection.

How can you be so sure…I mean not that i dont trust you prople…but how did you figure it out??? It could have been the caravan!

^ why don’t you read through the reasoning process on the other thread and see?

I can hardly be bothered to explain about 7 posts worth of different posters’ ideas here. Not that hard to click the link to the thread directly above this one you know…

this the one?? if it is so, i’m sooooo relieved

^ yes :)

I’m happy for you! Good luck.

@theskylitup …Thanks for the reply!

^ I’m sorry if I was curt. Basically, as another poster discovered, the December 2009 International SAT is exactly the same as the Jun 2009 SAT. The June SAT’s experimental was in the Math section, which means that the experimental section in this month’s intl SAT is whatever wasn’t on the June CR sections.

And so we checked it out, in June 2009, only the Montaigne passage didn’t appear, :. that one is the experimental.

It was ok…i didn’t mind. iknow how irritating it becmes if someone goes on asking the same questions!!!

was it the second CR section or third??

they were consecutive…

Can’t you just figure out which CR sections a person who DIDN’T have a CR experimental had? Whichever CR sections that person had, those were the real deal and the passage that people who DIDN’T have the CR experimental didn’t get is obvious the CR experimental passage.

Also, wow…they repeated a SAT? That’s so ridiculous. Also, this is wierd, but I’m an international and…I got the same SAT the people in the US got. I discussed it on the reg. SAT discussion thread. How is this possible? Is the policy different just for December?

^ To clarify, I gave the SAT in October and the SAT 2 in November, and both times the regular discussion on this board by the american students correlated with the exams I gave.

not sure, but october SATs are the same worldwide. idk why, but thats way it is. and it is the most common SAT date aslo. not sure about SAT 2, though

Does anyone remember the two short passages that accompanied the passage about self-reflection. Here are the short passages I remember:

Blogs
Something about a Science Park
Grandmother

I think the exp section will be on the collegeboard site by now

^ Where exactly can I find that information on the CB website?

Is the info, that is put up on CB, concerning the experimental section relevant to international tests?

Both in June and November I couldn’t find the section order that corresponded to mine.

ok so we know that it is a repeat. will the curve be the same too?

Bilguun, you should have recalled whether your test book’s cover was pink or blue first and then checked the section order. My guess is that the section orders are the same for US test-takers and internationals with the same test book colors, irregardless of differences in contents.

Both times, I knew the colors, but they still didn’t seem to match. Maybe, my memory’s failing me.
