<p>I know umass sends their decisions during December but I was just wondering if their were any parents or past students who knew when they arrived last year?</p>

me toooo. all the website says is mid-december. apparently its always before christmas but i’m not really sure hah, i’d love to know though!</p>
<p>There’s a thread somewhere in here for UMass Amherst early action from last year… Most of the people there got their replies Dec 17 or a little later, so hopefully this upcoming weekend? I’ve been obsessed since I started applying!</p>
<p>When exactly did people start hearing last year? All of my schools are around Thursday and I’m getting freaked out.</p>

<p>last year, students first started recieving decisions on the 18th. hopefully this weekend because im dying from waiting.</p>

<p>they said they were sent out last year dec. 15th (which is tomorrow) so maybe they will be sent out then too?
but do you think it will go online before we get the actual letter? im starting to get really nervous, i need to hear from my tops!</p>
<p>Last year, they apparently sent out the letters far before changing the online status. Hopefully, the letters come soon.</p>

<p>MKB123, Don’t stress too much about being defered, even though it’s not what you wanted to here, it’s also not a no. My sister was defered when she applied to MIT a few years ago. When she was accepted they still ended up giving her almost a full scholarship. Good Luck! :)</p>
<p>my understanding is that we should recieve our notification around December 18? Even though I thought the website said December 15 (TODAY). I am SO anxious. Waiting to hear is almost worse than applying. I check online every day but it just says “under review”. Will we most likely be recieving the decisions in the mail and not through email/online? GAH I wanna know already…and they keep sending me brochures about the school. stop teasing me UMass =(</p>
<p>I think the 15th is when they send the letters out, but obviously it will take a few days to get to your house.</p>
<p>Last year’s EA thread for UMass seemed to say that the online status takes a week or two to update, so you should probably focus on waiting for the letter. (Well, I say this even though I also check the online status every day.) Good luck!</p>

<p>I have also heard that we will hear through the mail well before our online accounts are updated. Why can’t it be the other way around!! Anywho, fingers crossed :)</p>
<p>I completely agree with you, hbananax0! It almost seems like a waste of money and resources to have the online thing up. I’m glad that I could make sure that my application is complete, but other than that it seems useless.</p>
