I know many of you are very, very intelligent and probably have a great workload. I go to a public school pretty much in the middle of no where and it's pretty poorly funded. With that said, I'm taking the most rigorous schedule as a junior and find myself with little or no time to practice and stuff for the SAT. I'm taking 4 AP classes and 3 honors classes. I have no electives, rather all core classes. My question is: how often, and when do you prep for the SAT on a given, normal week? I'm trying to develop a schedule that I can follow on a regular basis. I generally get out of school 5-6 pm, and start at 7:50 am. I get out late due to EC's.

I did all of my preparation in the summer and did some stuff on the weekends prior to the October SAT. I did rather poorly and decided to just take it easy and do nothing until the January SAT and scored a lot higher. The main point is that you can do it all in the summer.

^What did you get this Jan?

Weekends, summer, free time…trust me, you will always have some free time during your day or weekend, and you’ll have to sacrifice your free time (the time you spend recovering from your other studies) for SAT prep.

You have 24 hours in day. Sacrifice sleep if you must. Trust me, after a while you can function perfectly fine on 3 hours of sleep.

You know , I followed a similar logic. It didn’t take long until I started suffering from sleep deprivation. Not a cool thing. It’s scientifically proven that you can , but seems like it’s not that simple.
Your brain starts to get worn off , your body starts to feel immense fatigue (especially if you work out , like me) . Stick to the 7-to-8 hour sleeping schedule. It’s a better bargain. It also helps you study more efficiently.

Oh wow. Yeah I don’t get much sleep as it is. I usually get 4-5 hours a night. What does an average week look like for you guys? Would someone care to share? :)
