I'm trying to get all of mine done before July 8th, which is when I leave for vacation to South Carolina. School ends this Thursday, and I've only made it through the first half of 1 out of 3 books I need to read for AP Literature, and I haven't even touched the AP Calculus homework or my AP Gov homework (which is another book)

Womp, I think I'm not going to succeed in finishing on time.

I’m usually super motivated when I first get my assignments and manage to get about half done within the first week…but then I just leave the rest until August, a month before school starts.

Depends on the subject. I try and get started on summer reading in early-mid July, and hope to finish by early August, but I usually hold off on doing summer math/science until August. I also have a Spanish project to do, which I’m probably going to do some time in early-mid August. Not sure whether it’s better to do things in June and early July, or to hold off until late July and August - I’ve heard conflicting things about that.

The first thing to get done is normally Calculus, and during the school year in one day of boredom.

Then comes the science classes in 1-2 weeks straight out of school.
Then Social Sciences.
Lastly English, which I take forever on because the books often bore me to death. But I force myself to finish 3-4 weeks early, so I can have freedom while others are toiling away :)

But then again, no worries, it’s post-senior year!

I always kind of thought you were supposed to wait until August so it is fresh in your mind when school starts. Maybe that is just my excuse for procrastinating though. I literally did my Chen one last year the day before

I’m normally pretty motivated at first, but then I start procrastinating my work to two weeks before school starts. This year I’ve been trying not to procrastinate so much, so I did all my reading first (for AP Bio and AP English) as well as a huge Spanish packet, and I tried to start APUSH notetaking but got really bored… so I’ll probably save that to the last week of summer…

Science Research: my internship is my summer assignment.

AP Economics: I’ll probably read my book in July

AP Lang & Comp: I’ll probably start Moby Dick right after finals, and Mountains Beyond Mountains later on.

AP Chemistry: First half is due July 31st so right after finals, and then I’ll probably procrastinate with the rest.

Honors US History II: This one will be so boring that I am going to procrastinate like crazy.

Honors PreCalc and Newspaper: NO SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS! :)

AP English has me reading three books and writing some essays, I know I will be away in July and I read most when I am away so I probably won’t read more then one book before then.

AP Euro has some optional work for extra credit consisting of reading some books and/or watching historically accurate movies. If I finish the other stuff I might do it…

AP Calc has a bunch of worksheets/problem sheets and some review material, all of which I will be tested on when I get back. I will probably do it soon and review before returning to school.

AP Bio apparently has summer work but the teacher has not yet sent it out, so I will deal with it when I get it.

Only other class that has summer work is yearbook (only because I am editor), basically I just have to moderate the Facebook group and work on getting people to settle on a theme.

AP Calc BC has an optional review packet that I’m going to start and finish tomorrow before I forget how to do math, lol. AP Bio has an optional reading assignment that I’m going to start this week. The books look really interesting actually. Nothing else has been posted yet.

I finished my AP Physics summer assignment before summer even started! I only had 3 finals for really easy classes, so the last week of school I had a LOT of free time. And I can only entertain myself on non-blocked websites and playing card games to waste time for so long. So I did my physics assignment. I started my stats assignment as well.

I finished my stats assignment a week or two after school was over. I was still in “school mode” then and fairly motivated.

After those couple weeks though, I got into “summer mode” and have no motivation left for AP Lit assignment or getting started on my self-study AP tests. I’ll procrastinate this for a while, I’ll most likely start it the last week of July as that’s when softball ends for a couple weeks and I won’t know what to do with myself! I’ll finish mid-august when school starts.

I only have AP Lit stuff so I decided to do a book a month with an essay after each book. Thankfully I only have to write essays for two of the books so that makes me procrastinate a bit more than usual. One essay down, one to go. Then I just need to read a book. I’m a fast reader so that will be done the weekend before school starts.

Usually the week before school and I finish the hour before the school day the assignment is due. Not smart I know but I have like no motivation since I don’t like reading at all.
