My oldest child committed to attending a private LAC in late April. I anticipated receiving correspondence regarding payment plans soon afterward. To date, I've heard nothing. When should I expect to hear something from the school, and when should I expect the first payment to be due?

July or sometimes not until August in my experience

just touched base with my S14 intended school…they don’t send a bill until September (payment due in some form or other at the end of that month) .

Does your school have a bursar portal? My kid received a link of a to do list for freshman few years back. One of the to dos was to sign up for monthly payment plan. I decided on the 12 months plan, which started in May.

I would check with your kid to see if he/she received any notifications from the school.

Thanks, Oldfort, she’s not the most communicative, so I’ll check with her. I’m also hoping that it will be seamless to set up a payment plan between our 529 plan and the school.

Emerson 6/30 accept your financial assistance statement, 8/1 pay your tuition bill

You should pay yours (other than the scholarship and financial aid) before the classes started. Check with the school. Your first payment should be the commitment deposit by May 1.

We got our first e-bill in July.

At both my kids’ schools, their permission was required to grant me access to a parent payment portal. Make sure your daughter reads all the communications from the cashier’s office so this step doesn’t get neglected.

If you are attending an orientation over the summer, this topic is usually addressed there, too.

Every school is different. Don’t worry, they will find you!

For my kids payment was due approximately the week before classes started so mid-August. The bursar’s office will love if you call and ask how and when to pay.

Simmons says bill is coming Aug 1 (or is that due August 1) but if you want equal pay option the first pay is due July 1 so call to get the bill. I’m a bit confused but I believe happy1: they will find me.

Yes, you all were right. They found me. July 22nd, but relieved we only pay one semester at a time, which makes sense, but I never really thought about it. Thanks, everyone.
