I got my acceptance letter today, but there was no mention of any merit aid. Does this mean that they are not offering me any, or will it come later on in the mail?

I am afraid it means you are not getting any. It would be with your acceptance letter. Seeing your stats on another thread, you might have had a shot at the $15,000 merit, but it was pretty borderline I think. From what you say on there regarding finances, it probably wouldn’t have been enough anyway, yes?

awww I guess I’m staying in-state :(

At least you live in a state with great choices. Best of luck!

Not receiving merit awards with an early action of SCEA acceptance letter does not necessary mean no merit offers will ever come from Tulane. After all of the early decisions are processed and regular admission decisions begin to be issued, applications are re-evaluated for merit based aid. If you happen to take the ACT/SAT again and do better or increase your GPA through your Fall 2010 grades, you increase your potential to qualify for a merit award at a later time during the admission season.
