<p>You have until December 1st to request an interview. They will perform on-campus interviews as late as December 12th and off-campus interviews even later than that. You still have time if you want an interview, but I would encourage you to apply even if you can’t arrange one.</p>
<p>i requested an interview mid-october early-november and i still havent gotten a response.
ive been wondering if they have been calling my house under some strange caller id that i dont recognize. any caller id name that i dont know i just dont pick up at all unless they leave a message. if someone did call, well they should have left a message especially for something that is important to my future.</p>

I’d call the admissions office and ask them about not getting back to you. They normally respond within two weeks of your interview request. Now, I did an off-site interview, and those are normally done by Rice Alumni, so that could be an explanation for an odd number calling you. I don’t know why an interviewer wouldn’t leave a message, unless a parent answered for you, because that happened to me. My father answered the phone and took down my interviewer’s email address (somehow managing to not realize she was calling to schedule an interview) incorrectly. Apparently, the interviewers aren’t allowed to call you again, so that’s why they give out their contact information. I had to call the Rice Admissions office, but they put me in contact with my interviewer again. Since you requested the interview as early as you did I’m sure you’ll get it scheduled.</p>
<p>Since your location says “NorCal”, I assume this is one of the off-site interviews you’re requesting. As I remember, from when my daughter did one, she had to choose someone to call, from a list of possibilities. The first person she called didn’t get back to her. I think she contacted a second person who responded saying she’d be out of town during the interview period. Her third choice of interviewers finally worked out. If you’re calling interviewers directly (I don’t know if it still works this way), you may need to choose someone else from the list. Good luck!</p>
