I'll be a junior transfer in the fall, and I'd like to live on campus for at least one year. I'm applying for Applied Econ, which is in the Natural Sciences school I believe. Priority deadline is March 1st, but is it possible to apply for housing before actually sending in your transfer app?

Yes! If you can take a $25 risk, send the app in asap to get the front of the line. I think freshman and honors kids are guaranteed a spot, everyone else is first come/first serve.

Thanks! CFANS at least has dedicated transfer housing so hopefully that gives me a slight advantage!

Apply the minute the housing application comes out, that’s the most important factor. You can go back in and change your rankings and preferences any time up until early spring. There is freshman guarantee but when you sign up is a time stamp. First in, first placed. My son applied last year in the first couple hours and got his first choice.

I agree, apply as early as you can. My daughter applied in the first few days after they opened the application and got her first choice. She is very happy.
