When should I hear back from Ithaca College?

I applied to Ithaca early action but my application was in by October 14th and my guidance counselor sent my transcripts in by November 1st or slightly earlier. The due date for early action is December 1st. I have a friend who applied a few days after me but heard back last week. Would the time the transcripts were in affect the time I hear back? Any ideas on when i should expect a letter?

IC is rolling decision, so for EA you should probably hear back very soon! When you hear back also depends on what program you applied to within IC; if your friend applied to a different program than you, then her application was likely viewed by a different admissions officer and might be processed at a different time. A lot of people I knew (and myself) applied last year RD to Ithaca; even though we all applied at relatively the same time, some people heard back in late December/early January while others didn’t hear back until April. So it varies a lot. But I would expect an EA decision in the next couple weeks!

I sent my application in late October, and just received my letter of acceptance today

I think it varies by whatever program and school you’re applying too. I applied to their DPT program on October 15th and had everything sent out by early November. I would think with the more competitive programs that have higher applicant numbers, like PT, it might take longer to sort through all the applications, whereas a major with a smaller amount of applicants can send stuff out faster.

Just my take on it. Good luck to ya origg35.
